When people think of private investigators they envision a character with similar skills and attributes as 007 or intrepid. In reality, a private investigator is someone who uses surveillance and gathers information using public records, criminal records and many other means.
The topic of the work that a private investigator may carry out varies but can usually be broke down to insurance claims, fraud, private or business matters. Some private investigators may specialize themselves for certain tasks where others may be up for anything.
To be a private detective you do not need to be ex-police, however, most private detectives are ex-police. Some countries have private investigation regulations and licensing and others don’t.
Private investigators aren’t above the law nor are they exempt from the law so they must abide to it like everyone else and means:
- A private detective can’t break into a property to gain evidence
- A private detective can’t plant surveillance equipment anywhere e.g. home, car.
- A private detective can’t open mail other than mail which belongs to him.
Some exceptions may occur when a husband or employer contacts a private investigator who owns the property, car or phone and the proper consent has been given for surveillance. It does start to become a gray area i.e. Invasion of privacy – ensure the private detective you select has the experience, understanding and skillset needed to create your case.
If you are in the market to hire a private Investigator Winnipeg ensure that they have a good selection of private detectives who are licensed and experienced to work as a spy in Manitoba.
It appears to me that there are a great many Marxists with criminal records. Its easy to be criminalized if you believe in politics that oppose the mainstream–many people may have criminal records simply because of oppositional politics. I don't know the exact specifics of each case but I would hazard a guess that many of the Marxists may be there due to their activism. Also there may be a trend in which formerly violent guerillas end up in electoral politics (not uncommon.) Or alternately, they might just be run of hte mill criminals. Would be interesting to see an analysis.
mybe it dpends…
I don't get your point.
Are you saying that people who have and carry guns for self defense SHOULDN'T get training? I guess you prefer lawfully armed people to be as poorly trained as possible then?
Or are you seriously suggesting that gang bangers (most of whom are either under age, or have criminal records (or both) and are committing a federal felony just by TOUCHING a gun) are the ones who will pony up the (not insubstantial) fees for such training?
