One reason for the Rug Pads Protect Area Rugs decay is because when there is no rug pad, the bottom of the rug rubs against the hard flooring beneath it. Obviously this is like rug pads. When it comes down to it, the rug pad that is used is just as important as what you see on the surface. A rug pad can serve the same purpose for your rug.
And now that same walk can be even more soothing as your feet meet a softer surface with each step. Another reason your rug can wear out faster on the bottom is because hand-knotted rugs have an open weave. But has little, or nothing, to do with area rug pads usually. And while you may not notice this early on, as time goes by, you will surely be able to tell that your rug is beginning to wear out.
Replacing flooring is nothing short of expensive but with the protection of a rug pad you will find that you don’t have the same need to replace it. A rug pad helps your rug “stick” to the floor, keeping it in place, and making it safer for everyone. This is similar to Oriental rug pads frequently. With the proper pad you can be rest assured that the rug is going to lay as it should.
Rug pads are engineered to be odor, mold and mildew proof. Over time, friction can rub through the finish of your floor. As you can imagine, when you are walking on a rug with a pad underneath it will be much more comfortable.
Rug pads reduce the number of falls and slips. And one final tip, when laying your rug pad down, make sure you read the instructions to ensure you are putting the right side down – some pads have different textures on the bottom to help it grip better to the floor. You want to make sure that you get a rug pad that is of high quality, and of course, one that is known to get the job done. The benefits of rug pads far exceed the inexpensive price of acquiring them as they are very affordable.
What does it mean, when they say, insist on high quality durable parts?
Insist on high quality durable materials means to always consider buying goods of a high quality. These goods for example, a silver necklace may be more expensive than replicas but they are made of a high quality material ie silver over coated metal.
Another advantage to high quality materials/parts are that they can be easily recycled.
A phrase that was used in the podcast was “Something that is metal IS metal”. Replicas made of metal may be cheaper but will not last and because they use chemicals this means they cannot be recylced.
I would start by contacting your states consumer protection office or attorney generals office to see what your options are. And pull the carpet out yourself if possible, that can make you really sick.
Looove your makeover, it's perfect!!! I saw an idea a few days ago that I might try this summer in my family room, ( I have old rose carpeting) I may pull it up and paint big squares to look like faux tile in either black and white or maybe something else! It looked awesome (there are how-to directions…just google it) so, if you have some of that turquoise paint left you could always paint an area rug!?!
